Are you accidentally leaving $20,000 on the table by trying to sell your house solo? 🏡
In a hot real estate market where homes seem to be flying off the shelf, it’s completely natural to ask: “Do I even need a real estate agent right now? Can’t I just sell this on my own and save the money?”
It’s a fair question. But there is a massive difference between simply finding a buyer and actually maximizing your final result.
When you navigate a sale alone, it’s easy to lose your leverage. If you price the property too high out of the gate and are forced to make price reductions, you end up chasing a fast-moving market instead of leading it.
Real estate strategy isn’t just about putting a sign in the yard, it’s about data you won’t find on a public website, precise market timing, and knowing exactly where to prepare your home before buyers walk through the door.
You don’t just need someone to find a buyer. You need a strategy that protects your equity.
If you’re thinking about selling your home in the near future, what’s your biggest hesitation about the process right now? Drop your thoughts or questions below, or send me a DM to look at the data for your neighborhood! 👇

Is anyone else secretly dreading the quiet that comes after graduation day? 💔🎓
Watching the Class of 2026 crossing the stage is a beautiful milestone. But if we’re being completely honest, it’s also an incredibly bittersweet season for parents.
Right now, the real estate market conversation is dominated by interest rates, low housing inventory, and shifting data. But as a local realtor who has spent over 20 years helping families navigate major life transitions in the Chicago suburbs, I know a secret:
People don’t actually move because of the market. We move because our lives change.
My youngest son just graduated from high school, and the reality of an empty nest is right around the corner. It’s a strange feeling to look at the home where you raised your family and realize the hallways are about to get quiet. We invest so much into our properties for a specific season of life, and it can be tough when that season starts to shift.
Some parents downsize immediately. Others hold onto the extra space for years. Personally? I don’t know what our next step is yet.
To my fellow parents of high school seniors, how are you managing this transition? Are you planning to stay put, or are you starting to look at your home a little differently? I would honestly love to hear your advice and perspective in the comments below. 👇
And to the Class of 2026- congratulations. Your next chapter starts now. ✨

It’s not just a water tower. It’s a piece of architectural history that literally survived through fire.
If you live in or around Riverside, you’ve driven past the Water Tower a thousand times. But most people don’t realize its connection to the skyline of Chicago.
Originally completed in 1871, it was designed by William Le Baron Jenney, the legendary architect who would go on to build the world’s very first structural steel skyscraper in downtown Chicago.
The Plot Twist: While the heavy brick and stone base has been standing right here since 1871, the tower actually suffered a massive fire on New Year’s Day in 1913 that destroyed its original wooden roof. When the village rebuilt it, they made it 20 feet taller and installed the first fully automated, electric-powered waterworks system in United States history!
It’s a daily reminder that Riverside wasn’t just built to be a suburb; it was engineered to have a soul.

There is a reason you feel “lighter” the moment you cross the Riverside village line. 🌳🧠
In 1869, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux (the legendary duo behind Central Park) brought their “Village in a Park” vision to the West Suburbs. But it wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about psychological health.
Olmsted believed that the “grid” of the city was a source of mental fatigue. His solution? Eliminate the straight line. Every curve in our roads was intentionally designed to slow your pace and shift your brain from “work mode” to “nature mode.”
150 years later, we are still living in one of the most successful urban planning experiments in history.

Real estate is about houses, but my business is about the people inside them. 🥂🌸
This past Sunday was a special one. I had the honor of bringing together some of the incredible women I’ve helped buy or sell homes for over the past year. It wasn’t about market stats or inventory, it was purely about celebrating the community we’re building here & supporting two local women owned businesses. &
We kicked off the spring season at Vinette in Riverside with a gorgeous DIY flower bar and, of course, some of the best wine in the village.
To my clients: Thank you for trusting me with your moves and your stories. Watching these connections grow between neighbors is exactly why I love what I do.
Who are you celebrating this spring? Tag a neighbor or friend below who makes this community feel like home. 👇

When people see my listings hitting multiple offers within days, they usually think it’s just the marketing. And while marketing is vital, the real work starts months before we ever go live on the MLS.
The secret? My Blue Book.
This is my private, vetted list of the best contractors in the West Suburbs. You can find it on my website. Whether it’s Jose with ASAP Flooring transforming your hardwoods or my go-to team for the perfect fresh coat of paint, these are the experts who know how to make a home “market-ready.”
In this market, “average” doesn’t cut it. You need a team that knows how to maximize your value and make your home stand out from the crowd.
Thinking about selling this spring? Let’s do a walkthrough.
