Who remembers We Care Park in Kokomo ? I can remember as both a kid and an adult being in awe of what we were looking at. Not just the abundance of lights and displays, but the amount of community involvement it took to do something like that annually for almost 30 years. From people donating lights, displays, bulbs, hardware, fixing broken things, or just donating their time to feel better about being apart of something bigger than themselves. It took a dedicated group to make it magical every year. Things like We Care Park can never be truly replicated but they can be inspiration and goal-worthy for other communities.
We’d like to take a quick second and connect to those who might have had the same feeling. As people who buy wayyyy more Christmas decorations than they should, we know all too well how expensive they can be and how quickly you can be staring at $1,000’s of dollars for a handful or 2 of quality weather resistant decorations. This year, the park is asking for help from our community to continue to improve and grow the Christmas at Callaway light display! There are a few different options to choose from for those that are interested and nothing is too small to help add to the Christmas magic!
