The problem I see is that too many agents get assistants and then once they have the listing, pass all of the work off to the assistant while they go search for more listings. I don't think you can do a good job for your clients that way. I prefer fewer, high-dollar, listings where I can be personally involved in every aspect of the showings, marketing, tracking feedback, and negotiating offers.
