Burnett Construction is now accepting applications to fill immediate full time openings for skilled TRIM carpenters, general carpenters and carpenters helpers. Duties will include all aspects of new home and remodel construction carpentry. As long as this post is up we are still looking!
CARPENTRY APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE GENERAL CARPENTRY KNOWLEDGE AND BE EXTREMELY DETAIL ORIENTED (ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE, OPERATE A SKILSAW ETC). WE ARE SEARCHING FOR TRUE CRAFTSMEN AS WELL AS CARPENTERS AND HELPERS. YOU WILL BE CHALLANGED ON YOUR SKILL LEVEL AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL. WE SEEK WORKERS THAT CAN PERFORM EXTREMELY CLEAN WORK IN A TIMELY MANNER. EXPERIENCE IN RUNNING CROWN MOLDING, SHIP-LAP, V-GROOVE, BASEBOARD AND CASING IS A PLUS.
HELPERS MUST BE WILLING TO WORK HARD, TAKE DIRECTION AND BE ABLE TO CLEAN UP JOBSITES AND TOTE LUMBER ETC.
Carpentry applicants must have working tools (tool belt, hammers, tape measure, speed square, chalk line, flat bars, screw drivers, nail punches, etc). Power tools - (table saw, miter saw, skill saw, saws all, drill / drivers, nail guns, compressor, sanders, jig saw etc).
Helper applicants tools are not a must to start, but helpful.
All applicants must be able to:
Lift objects up to 125 lbs daily
Operate power tools daily
Stand for up to 4 continuous hours
Able to work at heights up to 3 stories
Stand or work on ladders and scaffolding
Work while bending or kneeling
Starting pay is around $13 to $17 depending on experience with a potential to earn up to $20 or more per hour.
