What a day! It’s taken me 2 weeks to sit down and reflect on my Misogi (The Chuamaca 100k endurance race) for 2025. Running a 100k was not on my radar in January maybe not even in May of this year. My plan for 2025 was to pace friends and enjoy running trails. After getting my ass handed to me at speedgoat I knew I could endure more. was already doing the race so my 2025 Misogi pretty much found me.

Running has thought me to push beyond what you think is possible, this race was all that and more. If you just keep clawing and fighting at some point you reach an aid station where a volunteer who has also been out there for like 10 hours gives you a popsicle. You acknowledge you are out of your mind but that little human interaction or excitement that section is done, give you a second wind to realize all will be ok.

This race was a battle, terrible footing, blisters early, having to pass the finish twice without actually finishing! Come on! My left foot started acting up around mile 50 I didn’t know want it was but it was making it hard to run at times. I cannot thank enough for pacing me and pretty much dragging me the last 18 miles including a few hours in the dark. Thankfully, I didn’t break or tear anything in my foot, just turns out if you take 130,000+ steps in a day your feet get pretty angry.

Looking back I am thankful to have my health, a body, and mind that allows me to push these boundaries. The run and recover was tough but easy things don’t help you grow. I am so proud to have finished, and Aiden was pumped to have another medal for his collection.

Thank you to for encouraging and inviting me to get out of my comfort zone. Thank you for pacing look forward to returning the favor. Thank you to for watching our son and understanding when I leave the house for a run with a headlamp at 9pm pretty much every night. Big thank you to all my friends and family for the support and spending most the day watching my little tracker go around the map.

I look forward to the next adventure.

Every home and transaction has a story. This one was extra special for me. I had the honor to work with the family of a close friend I grew up with to sell their families legacy home. Built by the grandparents in the 70’s this home was the gathering place for multiple generations of the family. We worked hard with the siblings to find the right buyer and maximize their investment. It took us almost a year to the day to find the perfect buyer but we were able to do just that. The buyer understood the emotions of selling a family home and performed exactly as agreed to per the contract. I am thankful to have had the opportunity, happy for our clients, and excited to see everything the new owner does with this amazing property.
