Some places are more than just restaurants.
They become part of the story of a community.

I was saddened to hear that Pacifica Del Mar will be closing its doors this December. Having lived in San Diego for 38 years, Pacifica has been one of those special places I’ve returned to time and time again. Whether it was celebrating milestones, gathering with friends, enjoying a sunset dinner, or simply taking in the beauty of Del Mar, it has always felt like a fixture of our coastal community.

For decades, Pacifica has been woven into the fabric of Del Mar, creating memories for locals and visitors alike. It’s difficult to imagine the village without it, and its closing marks the end of an era for so many of us who have shared meals, laughter, and unforgettable moments there.

While we’re grateful for the memories and the impact Pacifica has had on our community, it’s still hard to say goodbye to a place that has meant so much for so long.

Thank you, Pacifica, for being part of Del Mar’s story—and part of mine. ❤️
