By chance the list agent was a jr high school mate - luckily we were very prepared for the best outcome -- and it all worked out I'm so excited and grateful all the pieces came together for Andrew. In this crazy market going from condo to house was like achieving the impossible. Thank you Andrew for trusting me to handle your transactions. I had so much fun with you. You did an amazing job staying on top of everything. Xxoo

Vintage days. Got my license in 1994. Wrapped up the " passed" paper in a box and gave to Jeff on Christmas. I pretended I didn't pass before then. Began the journey in 1995.
I originally had my Mass license around then too.

Each client is a special gift. And each journey to home ownership is very different. This business is not easy. But when you get to work with beautiful people it makes it all worth it.

Some of my beautiful experiences in real estate. I've watched them grow from that very moment we finally got the house. Each client is a unique situation. This was no different getting the house they wanted. But we did it challenges and all. It was a truly crazy ride to a great end. Still say congrats on all you've achieved since that time. Thank you for allowing me to help you as I had your parents. And knew you as a baby boy. Mmmm ya that made me feel slightly antiqued but I was honored.

Good day all.
Yes it's been awhile since I've posted. I'm not very good at self promotion. I put my energy into performance rather than attracting attention. And yes that has hurt the business aspect of my 28 year dedication. It doesn't work for me to post on all the different medias daily but I still work with clients. Mostly referrals and word of mouth. For that I am honored and grateful

So much has changed in the industry. It has gotten more transparent for buyers and I went through that transition in the late 90's early 2000's .
The Internet dramatically transformed real estate. Social media made advertising more personal and cost effective for sure.
I was around in the days when buyers had to come into the office to look at our big MLS book which came out like the phone book every two weeks to sit and look at the houses for sale. The books were not allowed to be taken out of the office. Offices only got a few books. Potential buyers came in to the office and the agents salivated waiting to see if they belonged to someone. We would go in the conference room or our desk and they'd thumb through the book.Properoes were advertised in local newspapers and real estate booklets. Worst thing was when callers would check on a house and it would be under deposit. It would take a bit for the house to show that.

My first CMAs took FOREVER to hand compile. And photos on our computers took a long time to upload. As the internet geared up our MLS was a separate software program, no clouds. Took up space on the hard drive.

What I hated the most as an advocate of people in general - was the old paradigm of representation. We all worked for the seller back then with no obligation to tell an unsuspecting buyer they were not being represented. They told their whole story. The law and our practice - as we were trained did not match but it was not ours to defy or question as agents. Eventually the ways of states like California introduced separating the agency into representing the buyer and the seller separately -finally! New rules, regs and ethics were sketched out. But boy, I remember how nervous we all got knowing we had to explain this new way of doing business with a new form. It was an "in-between" form before we have what we have now. All we knew was suddenly we were asked to get something signed by a new buyer to decide if they chose to be a client or not. And explain it and accept a " no" if they wanted to remain a customer not client. To explain it all before a showing- right when ppl want to see houses like in the past.No questions asked. Back then everyone was leary of this new procedure making sure we got it right and compliant . You get trained one way both ethically, procedurally and legally that doesn't make sense previously then suddenly it changes to "make sense" and you question why it was that way in the first place. It tripped us up for a brief time. But truly it was the best for a buyer client to know the agent was finally taking their fiduciary concerns into service.

It's been a long road since 1994. Seeing so many changes and so many markets.

The greatest part of this business is seeing the joy in a buyers eyes and often the relief in a sellers eyes that everything came together. One thing I've learned is that this business is driven by emotion. What I had to learn way back is to put all of my own emotions aside and navigate client stresses through education, compassion, strength, integrity, advocacy and diplomacy. To keep their goals in focus and absorb as many of the potential bumps with responsible duty.
