1. Hire a Busy, But Not Too Busy, Agent
Real estate trends, pricing, and regulations evolve constantly. To ensure you're working with someone who has up-to-date knowledge, choose someone who sells at least a home a month yet isn’t too busy to be there when needed.
2. Hire a Specialist
All agents are not experts in all things. For example, working regularly with seniors and with families handling estates after a loved one’s passing means I have the required resources and connections to guide you. Hire someone with experience relevant to your needs and situation.
3. Choose a Great Communicator
You’ll want a full-time agent who is easy to reach when you need them, proactively addresses concerns, and communicates well and often. Ask about an agent’s schedule and communication style before making your hiring decision.

All Realtors are real estate agents, but not all agents are Realtors. Realtors adhere to a strict code of ethics, ensuring a higher level of professionalism, training, and resources. This means a Realtor will likely be better equipped to act in your best interest.
