⏰ IMPORTANT MEMORY FOR THE ENGLEWOOD COMMUNITY!
This time last year, we personally arranged a peaceful protest on Englewood Beach to raise awareness and bring attention to our County to get our beach back open! After 7 months of the parking lot being completely shut down... with no access to the beach... with zero effort from the County to begin repairs or clear the parking lot -- even after members of this Community pleaded with County officials to do something... our Community took matters into their own hands. Businesses were suffering, our town was suffering and the heart of community was broken. With nearly 2,000 signatures on our petition, the local news and newspapers took notice. 2 days after this protest, a County Commissioner walked the parking lot (on a Sunday), made the announcement the following day, that at least half of the parking lot would be open 3 days later. We are extremely grateful for everyone that took a stand with us and this is proof that even the smallest of actions can reap the largest rewards!
