The Tri-County Family Resource Center is looking for an urgent addition to our team! We need a passionate, energetic, and highly patient Resource Support Specialist (RSS) to join us just in time for our Ninja Life Hacks Academy starting on June 1st!

If you love working with kids and connecting families to great resources, we want to hear from you this week!

🌟 Who We Are Looking For:
High Level of Patience: Someone who truly enjoys guiding, supporting, and working alongside kids.

A People Person: You love building positive relationships with children, parents, and caregivers.

Language Skills: Fluent in Spanish & English is highly preferred!

Experience: Previous experience working with kids is required.

⏰ Hours & Schedule (Part-Time: 25–29 hours/week)
Summer Shift: 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Monday – Thursday)

School Year Shift: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Monday – Friday)

Note: Occasional evenings and weekends for special events.

💼 Key Responsibilities:
Work with children in our exciting after-school and summer programs (like the upcoming Ninja Life Hacks Academy!).

Help connect local families to vital community resources.

Develop and maintain strong, supportive relationships with FRC members and their families.

With cooler temperatures expected, some may want to use their small space heaters. If so, DO NOT plug them into a power strip. These devices are not designed to handle the energy load of a space heater and can overheat causing a fire hazard. ⚠️🔥

Tenants, it’s that time of year. It’s getting extremely cold and pipes are at risk of freezing. Please take extra precautions to avoid frozen pipes!

- Let cold water drip overnight, preferably from faucets on an outside wall.

- Open cabinet doors allowing heat to get to uninsulated pipes under sinks near exterior walls.

- Keep your thermostat set at the same temperature day and night (higher than 57°)

- Insulate exposed water pipes, such as those in crawl spaces, basements, or near outside walls.

- Disconnect hoses

If you need help with anything or think your at risk of frozen pipes, call us immediately. We will come insulate pipes and cover crawl spaces.

If your pipes do freeze - call us immediately and we will come shut off the water.

Please make sure you have a heater on hand and extra water.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BUT TOILET PAPER DOWN THE TOILET! This includes:

-“FLUSHABLE” Wipes
-baby wipes
-paper towels
-tampons
-pads
-condoms
-Rags
-clothing
-needles
-prescriptions
-toys
-animals

LITERALLY ANYTHING BUT TOILET PAPER is NOT to get flushed. This is what happens. Per contract tenants are responsible for plumbing bills when this is pulled from sewer lines.
