One of my favorite moments in a real estate transaction is hearing the words “We’re under contract!” 🎉🏡
For buyers and sellers alike, that’s when everything starts to feel real. You have a closing date on the calendar, a goal in sight, and something exciting to look forward to.
While it may feel like the hard part is over, the truth is that my work is just beginning behind the scenes. From managing deadlines and coordinating with lenders, title companies, inspectors, and attorneys, to handling paperwork, contract compliance, and keeping everyone on track, there are a lot of moving pieces that have to come together for a successful closing.
One of the next major steps is the home inspection. In Alabama, inspections are extremely important because homes are generally purchased “as is.” A professional inspection helps buyers better understand the condition of the property and identify any issues that may need attention before closing.
I maintain a list of home inspectors who have been used and recommended by previous clients, but the choice is always yours—you are welcome to use any licensed inspector you feel comfortable with. My role is to guide you through the process, explain what to expect, answer questions, and help you make informed decisions every step of the way.
