Christopher Germain, REALTOR Helping you move forward with clarity and confidence. Local roots. Lasting results. Hello, I’m Christopher Germain. Service has always been a big part of who I am.

I guide buyers and sellers with honest advice, clear communication, and strong local insight—so you can make smart decisions and feel good about them. I’ve spent my life in the Escanaba and Delta County area, and it’s a place I’m proud to call home. From the shoreline of Lake Michigan to the communities that make up this area, it’s a great place to live, work, and put down roots. As an Associate B

roker with Premier Real Estate, I help buyers, sellers, and investors navigate important decisions with clarity, steady guidance, and a practical approach. Real estate isn’t just about property—it’s about timing, strategy, and making confident choices. My goal is to keep the process straightforward, well-communicated, and moving forward. I’ve been a Realtor® since 2004 and have stayed actively involved in the industry at the local and state level. That involvement helps me stay informed, connected, and ready to advocate for my clients when it matters most. I served as a volunteer firefighter captain for over a decade and have been involved in several local organizations focused on giving back and strengthening the community. That mindset carries over into how I approach real estate—showing up, doing the work, and being someone people can rely on. If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or investing, I’m here to help you move forward with confidence and make decisions you feel good about.

📅 THIS WEEK IN OUR AREA | August 31 – September 7

🎶 Live music, the final White Birch Bike Night of the season, open mic night, the Hannahville Pow Wow, the UP Steam & Gas Engine Show, Downtown Escanaba’s Sizzling Summer Sidewalk Sales, Boogie Fest Too, fishing, and plenty more are on the calendar.

🇺🇸 And I extended this week's calendar through Labor Day Monday!

The holiday weekend brings several long-standing community traditions throughout the area. Rock, Nahma and Escanaba all have Labor Day celebrations, with parades, live music, food, activities and more happening throughout the weekend and into Monday. Check out the additional flyers included with this post for details on each celebration.

It’s one of those weekends where you could probably pick a direction, start driving, and eventually run into something happening. 😂

📅 THIS WEEK IN OUR AREA | August 24–30

We may be coming off a BIG U.P. State Fair week, but the local calendar apparently has no intention of slowing down! 😃

There’s plenty happening around the area this week with live music, Bike Night, yoga, Business After Hours, Paint & Sip, the Downtown Pop Up Market, classes, bingo, dirt track racing and more. 🎶🏍️🎨🌻

And if live music is your thing, you have LOTS of choices. There’s music happening just about every day this week at venues throughout the area, with Friday and Saturday especially packed.

☀️ We’re getting into those final weeks of summer, so get out there, enjoy the weather, support some local businesses and squeeze a little more out of August before it disappears on us!

👉 Check out both graphics for the full lineup and find something fun to do this week!

🎡 IT’S U.P. STATE FAIR WEEK!🎡

One of the biggest weeks of summer in our area is here! The U.P. State Fair runs all week, bringing everything from livestock, exhibits and midway rides to live entertainment, food, grandstand shows and plenty of fair traditions.

🎶 This year’s music lineup is packed, too, with Phil Vassar, Tia Wood, Daughtry and Midland taking the Grandstand stage, plus live music throughout the week on the Escanaba DDA Stage and Gazebo Stage.

I included two special U.P. State Fair schedules this week so you can get a look at the daily happenings AND the music lineup without having to hunt everything down.

And while the fair may be stealing a little of the spotlight this week, it isn't the only thing happening! There are still plenty of events around the area, including live music, the Downtown Marketplace, classes, bike night, music bingo and more. Check out all three graphics and start planning your week!

🎡 Have a favorite U.P. State Fair tradition? The food? The rides? The concerts? The animals? Let me know what you never miss!

⚠️ **Please note:** Some events may have an admission charge, require advance registration, or have limited capacity. If you're interested in attending, I recommend contacting the hosting establishment or organization directly for details on pricing, tickets, registration and availability.

📊 Bay de Noc Market Pulse | Intel Report is here!

The latest numbers for July are in, and the Delta County real estate market continues to evolve.

🏡 Inventory dipped slightly to 4.78 months, but buyers still have about the same number of options they did last month. For the second month in a row, inventory has remained close to the five-month mark, showing our market continues to move toward a healthier balance. While it still leans in favor of sellers, these conditions are creating opportunities for both buyers and sellers.

📉 The median sold price came in at $237,450, and homes sold for an average of 96.8% of their list price. Meanwhile, the median time on market improved to 25 days.

🎥 Watch this month's Bay de Noc Market Pulse | Intel Report to see July's market data and trends.

🔍 Intel to Watch: Inventory has remained close to the five-month mark for two consecutive months. I'll be watching to see whether that trend continues into the fall or if we begin to see the seasonal slowdown that typically arrives a little later in the year.

Have questions about your home's value or the local market? I'd be happy to help!

🌞🎉 THIS WEEK IN OUR AREA! 🎉🌞

A little later than my usual Monday morning post... but sometimes the weekend wins! 😄 After a busy few days, I finally had a chance to get this week's event calendar put together, and there's still plenty of time to make plans.

This week features:
🎶 Lots of live music throughout the area
🛍️ Downtown Pop-Up Market
🎨 Kids Arts & Crafts & Steampunk Workshop
📚 Tech Help Tuesday
😂 Live Comedy at Saunders Point Brewing
🚜 Law & Garden Tractor Pulls
🏁 Dirt Track Racing
🧱 Kids Lego Club

And one thing I noticed... Sunday is surprisingly quiet! 🌳☀️

That might just be the perfect excuse to slow things down. Grab your favorite takeout from a local restaurant, pick up an ice cream or coffee, and spend a few hours enjoying one of our beautiful parks, hiking trails, beaches, or waterfront spots. Sometimes the best plans are the ones that aren't planned at all.

As always, check out the attached calendar for all the events, times, and locations. Have a fantastic week, and if you're attending something fun that isn't listed, let everyone know in the comments!

TODAY 👀

🛍️❤️ Let's show some love to our downtown businesses! ❤️🛍️

While our downtown businesses are being impacted by this summer's Ludington Street construction, Ashley Furniture Escanaba stepped up in a big way by offering FREE vendor space to them for a special pop-up event.

📍 Ashley Furniture Escanaba
📅 Today - Saturday, July 25th
⏰ 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Stop by to browse local vendors, discover unique products, and support the businesses that help make our community special.

While you're there, be sure to grab a bite from three fantastic local food trucks:
🚚 Iron Hoss Kitchen
🥔 The Boppin' Betty
🍜 Mhee's Filipino Cuisine

This is a great opportunity to shop local, enjoy some incredible food, and help support our small business community during the downtown construction. I even heard there are going to be some giveaways. Every purchase makes a difference!

Who's planning to stop by? 👇

📣Weekend Update!🎉

As the week went on, several additional events and live music performances were announced, and I also caught one correction that needed to be made. Rather than letting anyone miss out, I put together an updated Friday, Saturday, and Sunday calendar with all of the latest information I could find.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, there are plenty of great options including live music, Marina Fest, the MI Fish Fry, the RRN Block Party, the Great Lakes Discovery Sail, dirt track racing, classes, family activities, and much more!

As always, if you know of an event that isn't listed, feel free to share it in the comments so everyone can enjoy it. Thank you to everyone who helps keep these calendars as accurate and complete as possible! 😊

⚠️ **Disclaimer:** Event dates, times, and details are subject to change. Please check with the event organizer or venue for the most up-to-date information before attending.
