San Diego families are being priced out of the American Dream.

The median home price has soared past $900,000 — and fewer than 17% of households can afford to buy a home today. Meanwhile, foreign investors are buying up entry-level homes, outbidding local families with all-cash offers.

On Tuesday (Item 6), I’m bringing legislation to:
✅ Prioritize homeownership opportunities for San Diegans.
✅ Urge the state to restrict foreign purchases of entry-level and single-family homes, especially near military sites.
✅ Expand first-time homebuyer support.

This is about protecting the dream of homeownership for working families — not foreign speculators.
