Today, we had the incredible honor of attending a bench dedication in memory of Charlie Lancaster 💙

Charlie and his wife Jane became part of the Autumn Pond family in 2016, and from that moment on, they were truly part of the heartbeat of our community. Whether you saw them out for a walk, sharing laughs during coffee hour, or participating in community events, Charlie’s presence was one that brought warmth, connection, and kindness to everyone around him.

His impact extended far beyond Autumn Pond. Charlie was a deeply active member of the greater Essex Junction and Chittenden County community, including his many years as a dedicated volunteer with the Tree Farm—one of our cherished neighbors 🌳

In March of 2025, we lost Charlie, and with him, a truly remarkable human being. But today, we also celebrate his life.

The newly dedicated bench, located near the rugby field, stands as a lasting tribute—a place to sit, reflect, and appreciate the outdoors that Charlie loved so much. It serves as a beautiful reminder of his spirit, his generosity, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Charlie will always be part of our community 💫
