You don’t NEED 20% down to buy a house. This myth is why a lot of people stay renting longer than they need to. FHA loans are 3.5% down with 580+ credit score. If you’re a Veteran you may be eligible for a VA loan and 0% down. There’s also down payment assistance programs. The real problem isn’t the down payment.
