We have had our issues with Irma and we’re slowly getting repairs done to our facilities. Now we have discovered an additional problem that we did not anticipate. We knew that the computer tower that contains all the gate code/bar code information was damaged in the hurricane, but the initial assessment seemed to indicate that our data was secure. After deeper examination, however, we find that we have lost all information on the hard drive. There are services that will attempt to extract the data, but there is no guarantee and they tend to be quite expensive.
So, we are left with a monumental task to recreate that database from scratch on another computer. We recognize the inconvenience that entails, but feel that there is no better way to recreate the information than to ask your help in getting it to us in several different ways:
We have included a form in the FLASH that you can fill out and either drop off at the office…or you can scan it and email it to [email protected] or you can fax it to 239-947-9313.
We have added the form to our email blast. If you are on our email user list, you can print out the form and get it to us using the options listed in Alternative 1. (If you would like to receive emails from us, go to the website (see below) and sign up.)
We have included the form on our website: www.fountainlakesestero.com
Your feedback has been strong on the issue of the gates. We recognize the importance of securing our community, but we cannot close the gates until we have secured the vast majority of the bar code/gate code information in the operating system.
Be advised that, if we don’t get your bar code/key code information, you will not be able to get in either of our gates when they get locked down. We will give ample warning before we lock the gates down, but we need your help in getting us back up and running with the correct information.
Thanks in advance for your help in getting us through this task.
