More than just a gathering, Re-Imagine Earth Day is an opportunity to engage, learn and take meaningful steps toward a healthier planet

MECCA is looking for participatory, engaging and interactive booths to make this a fun and inspiring community event. Organizations, nonprofits, agencies and businesses dedicated to promoting sustainable behaviors and lifestyles, programs, products and services are welcome. The event also seeks vendors offering eco-friendly products and services, artisans who incorporate recycled, upcycled or other sustainable materials into their work and performance artists whose creations inspire and encourage environmentally responsible themes.

A loophole in federal law allows lenders to bypass Oregon regulations and charge exorbitant interest rates that keep consumers in debt.

Passing the predatory interest rate opt-out bill in 2025 (HB 2561) is critical to protecting Oregon consumers from unfair lending practices, which disproportionately impact communities of color and low-income consumers.

By reinforcing the state’s interest rate cap, Oregon can promote financial equity and lead the nation in combating exploitative lending.
