8 years years ago I attended my very first Turning Point USA event. I was teary the entire time because I had never seen anything like it, 1,000 other fanatic patriots who loved and adored America as much as I do. I met the founder who at the time was running around the event hall putting in the physical time and effort to make it happen, this was before all the flashy lights and screens and special effects you see at Turning Point Events today. I’ve had the wonderful privilege of meeting Charlie several times, watching him in action on campus, and even working for him. This is a lot to process for a lot of people, he was literally the face of the conservative movement. His impact is enough that I honestly don’t know what America would look like today if not for him. I will most definitely be grieving Charlie Kirk. Turning Point changed my life and gave me hope in our country’s future. He can rest though knowing that hell rejoiced when he was pulled out of the fight. God will welcome him with open arms and say “well done, good and faithful servant.”
