In March 2021, we opened the doors to the new Midtown Arts Center, cautiously and full of excitement. We adapted our plans based on the uncertain times and began settling into our beautiful studios and expanded office spaces. One year later, though times are no more certain, we are even more thankful to be in our forever home.
We've had three successful productions at the Hult Center so far this season and are now working toward the final two: Heaven and Earth and Taming of the Shrew.
Our largest space, The Haugland Family Studios, has a footprint that matches the Silva Concert Hall stage at the Hult Center and 20-foot ceilings, allowing dancers to rehearse in ways that were never possible in our previous building. We were able to fully rehearse ‘Concerto Grosso’ from Celebration of the Uncommon Woman, pas de deux lifts from Cinderella, and Mother Ginger’s dance with the Bon Bons in The Nutcracker in the The Haugland Family Studios—things we only dreamed of before moving.
