Everything feels overwhelming in the beginning. Real estate is no different than any other small business.

The first time I pursued real estate, I was constantly told to “work your sphere of influence”—friends, family, acquaintances, and anyone I had ever known. So I reached out to everyone. Some congratulated me, others left me on read, and after nearly a year of giving it everything I had, the fees became too expensive to justify. I had to walk away.

I won’t lie—it hurt. I took it personally when people I thought would support me chose someone else. I convinced myself it meant I wasn’t good enough, and I decided it was easier to give up.

For a while, I wanted to be bitter. I would see those same people promoting their own small businesses and thought about scrolling right past their posts. But that’s just not who I am. I genuinely love seeing people succeed, and I believe supporting others costs nothing.

A few months ago, I decided to give real estate another chance. This time, I went into it with a different mindset. I understood that sometimes strangers will support your business before the people who know you best—and that’s okay. It isn’t personal.

I’m so happy to say this experience has already been completely different, and I’m only one month in. The conversations are different, the opportunities are different, and most importantly, I’ve learned not to measure my worth by who chooses to work with me.

As I continue getting my name out there, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has liked a post, shared my content, referred my name, or even simply encouraged me. Every bit of support means more than you know.

I try to treat everyone with the same kindness and respect because I truly want to see others succeed, too.

I share my journey because I hope it reaches the person who feels discouraged. Starting something new is hard. Sometimes the first attempt doesn’t work out—not because you’re not capable, but because the timing wasn’t right. That doesn’t mean you should stop believing in yourself.

I’ll never forget the people who helped me along the way.

Something I’ve realized lately is that some of the best things in life come from simply getting to know people.

As I start this new chapter in real estate, I’m not focused on who is buying or selling right now. I’m focused on building genuine connections, getting involved in the community, and meeting good people along the way.

Maybe you’ll move in six months, maybe five years, or maybe never. Either way, I’d love to connect. Life has a funny way of bringing people together when the timing is right.

I’m grateful for every conversation, every piece of advice, and every person who has supported me as I learn and grow in this industry. ❤️
