Sometimes it's worth slowing down for a minute and just appreciating what's right in front of you. ❤️

This was the sky on my way out this morning, and it was a good reminder that not everything has to happen all at once.

Maybe you're saving for a house. Maybe you're fixing up the one you're in. Maybe you're still figuring out what your next chapter looks like.

It's okay to be exactly where you are right now. Life isn't a competition, and there's no prize for doing everything on someone else's timeline.

Some days real estate looks like sitting at a desk answering emails.

Today it looked like driving to Crescent Lake to show a house.

188.4 miles round trip.

I stopped at a few viewpoints on the way there, took in the scenery, and reminded myself that getting to see different parts of Oregon is one of the pretty cool parts of this job.

Do I go the extra mile for my clients?

Apparently, yes.

Literally. 😂🏡

One of the things I hear all the time:

"I'd love to buy a house, but I can't afford one."

Okay.

Let's not immediately decide that's impossible.

Let's figure out what "can't afford one" actually means.

Is it the down payment?

The monthly payment?

Credit?

Debt?

Income?

Student loans?

Or have you just been looking at houses online that are way outside your budget? 😂

Those are all VERY different problems.

And some have solutions that take time.

That's why you don't have to wait until you're ready to buy before talking to someone.

Sometimes the most useful conversation happens a year before you're actually ready.
