Born in California, but soon after, began a whirl wind of adventures with my family moving over 50 times in my life. This unique upbringing created a person that is comfortable in his own skin. I graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Education, which later landed me a job with the Boys and Girls Club in Alaska. Working with a non-profit afforded me the opportunity to make a difference in my community. After the birth of my son, Coltrane, we relocated back the Eugene/Springfield area to be closer to grandma's cooking. After all that moving, the Nelson family is putting down roots in the fertile grounds of the Willamette Valley. My mission as your real estate agent is to maximize your ROI. This last week I got to help an awesome family close on their step-up home — and this one has been in the works for almost two years. The first time they tried to sell, they were working with a different agent, and let’s just say it didn’t go the way they’d hoped. After that experience, they were a little gun shy (and honestly, who could blame them?).

When the timing finally felt right, we listed their home, got a solid offer, and found them the perfect next place. And here’s the kicker — this one has three bathrooms. When you’ve got three boys and only one bathroom, that’s not a wish list item… that’s a must-have for family survival. šŸ˜‚

What I love most about this story is that they did it on their timeline. The right house always shows up when it’s supposed to. And this one? It’ll carry them through the high school years and a whole lot of memories ahead.

That’s a big win in my book.

Helped a client recently find a pretty unique property—set up perfectly for her and her daughters to live together. The challenge? A tight price point and only one week in town to shop.

Long story short, I found a house they didn’t even want to see… but I had a hunch. After a little convincing, we toured it—and this week we closed on that very home.

One of the biggest ways I’ve grown in this business is learning to really listen (though Nicole might say otherwise, ha). By paying close attention to their wants and needs, I could see what they couldn’t at first—and now they’ve got the perfect place to call home.

I’m always interested in hearing what your housing goals are—sometimes just talking them through is the first step toward finding the right fit.

Had a past client reach out this summer. She loved her home but was ready for less responsibility (don’t we all, haha). After years of homeownership, her new goal was to rent and have the freedom to travel. As luck would have it, the first buyer wrote an offer and we coasted right to closing. Everyone’s goals look different, and one of my favorite parts of this job is helping people hit those milestones
