RJ's Industrial Packaging and Supply is very proud to announce that beginning April 1, 2015, we are merging with the Walter E. Nelson Company.

Walter E. Nelson Company (WENCO) is family-owned and has been in business for over 70 years. They are a premiere janitorial, equipment, and paper supply distributor. We believe that by combining RJ's packaging expertise with WENCO's janitorial expertise, we can dramatically increase our ability to serve our customers’ needs in both categories. We will continue to provide same-day delivery and no-minimum orders.

Also beginning April 1, our new address is 2621 West 5th Avenue, not too far from our current location. We can still be reached at 541-343-4079, or call our new WENCO number, 541-344-0651.

Our sincere goal is to continue to serve our customers with the same level of service that RJ’s has been very proud to deliver. All of our wonderful employees will be joining WENCO. Jim, Vance, Amber, Ron, Ray and Dee are joining local WENCO employees who have significant janitorial supplies experience.

Since RJ’s began in 1983, we have been blessed to have you as customers and we treasure your friendship. As we begin a new chapter, we want to thank you from our hearts for your business and we look forward to serving you in a new capacity. We are very excited to get underway!

Did you you know that bubble wrap was invented in 1957? Engineers sealed two shower curtains together, creating a smattering of air bubbles, which they originally thought they could sell as wallpaper. When that turned out to be unsuccessful, the team marketed it as greenhouse insulation. Although bubble wrap was branded in 1960, it was not until 1961 that its use as a protective packaging was discovered.

Here is another awesome use for bubble wrap. Who knew?
