If you know me, you know I’m a huge foodie and I’m always checking out new spots around Eugene 🍴

I recently stopped by The Garden On Friendly and you have to check out their new rooftop. Such a fun place to hang out, grab a bite, and enjoy the sunshine. I have a feeling you’ll be seeing me up there quite a bit this spring and summer ☀️

When I visited, these were some of the food trucks there:

There are also local beers, drinks, and indoor seating, so it’s easy to grab something and head up to the rooftop.

They’re still in the process of really fine tuning this spot, but honestly it’s already a great place to hang out and it’s only going to get better.

I had just sat down at the food trucks to grab lunch when my phone rang.

A mom asked if we could see a house before the kids get out of school.

And honestly… I knew exactly what she meant.

Sometimes that small window between work & school pickup is the only time moms have to make big life decisions happen.

So we’re going to make it work.

Working moms are out here juggling a lot & still finding time to move their families forward.

Is anyone else casually “just stopping by” Down To Earth and then leaving with a full mental plan for their entire spring garden? 🌱

The minute we get one sunny afternoon in Eugene, I’m in there walking every aisle like it’s already planting season. I know it’s technically still early, but tell that to my brain when I see rows of veggie starts and all those beautiful flowers waiting for their moment. There’s something about Down To Earth this time of year that makes you feel like spring is right around the corner. It smells like soil and possibility and I’m already picturing fresh herbs, tomatoes, and pots overflowing with color on the porch.

Spring in Eugene just hits different. You can feel everyone slowly coming back outside, dreaming about gardens, longer evenings, and being barefoot in the yard again.

Please tell me I’m not the only one counting down the days. Are you planting veggies first or going all in on flowers this year? 🌷🍅

People think they know what makes Eugene special… until they actually live here.

Sure, everyone talks about the trails, the rivers, and the outdoor access. And yes, those things are incredible. But that’s not what makes you fall in love with this place.

It’s the Saturday mornings grabbing coffee before heading to the farmers market. It’s last-minute lake days that somehow turn into core memories. It’s running into familiar faces at local spots, community events filling your calendar without trying, and a pace of life that just feels easier to breathe in.

It’s the little everyday moments that turn into your lifestyle. That’s what makes Eugene feel like home to me, and honestly why I love helping people land here.

Okay Cottage Grove people… we’ve got a new spot 👀🌮

My husband has been saying for weeks, “we need to go check this place out.” And today after the gym I was out running errands, drove by, and thought… fine, I’ll stop in real quick.

I’m so glad I did.

It’s the kind of place that makes you immediately start planning dinner before you even leave. Fresh meat counter, tons of options, and everything looked legit. I grabbed fresh guac and green salsa (couldn’t help myself)… and now dinner feels way more exciting than whatever I originally planned.

Honestly I love seeing new local businesses open here. Cottage Grove keeps getting better and better.
