The “Leave It Behind” Strategy for inherited homes, and why it changes everything.
The biggest reason families don’t sell an inherited property isn’t the market. It isn’t the paperwork. It’s the stuff.
Forty years of furniture, boxes in the garage, clothes still hanging in the closet. The sheer volume of it is paralyzing, and I watch families pay months of property taxes on an empty house because they simply cannot face it.
Here is what I want you to know: you do not have to sort through any of it.
Take the photos. Take the heirlooms. Take the documents that matter. And then step back. I coordinate the estate sale professionals, the donation pickups, and the junk removal teams. We empty the house, clean it, and get it ready… or we sell it entirely as-is to a cash buyer with the contents still inside.
You get to grieve. You get to be with your family. The logistics are mine to carry.
