A cool day and a waterfall will get me out the door faster than almost anything. Montana has a way of making even a short walk feel like a real outing, especially when the air turns sharp and the sound of falling water takes over.

What I like about these spots is how they mix the big scenery with a simple kind of pleasure. A trail, a lookout, a bit of spray on your face, and suddenly the whole day feels different. In the colder months, you can actually hear the water and the wind a little better.

It brings back those drives where you’d stop just because the map said there was something worth seeing. No rush, no crowd, just a good excuse to spend time outside. Places like this are why people keep wandering. 👇👇

Come stay at The Jeremiah Johnson Retreat! The perfect hunting lodge getaway!

Archery season opens Sept. 5! Now is the time to tune your bow, check your gear and make a plan for a safe, successful hunt.
If your hunt takes you onto private land, do your part to protect the hunt and respect the access that makes these opportunities possible:

-Don’t block gates.
-Leave gates and fences as you find them.
-Pick up all trash and litter.
-Take precautions to reduce fire risk.
-Stay on designated roads and trails.

Hunting a Block Management Area (BMA)? Be sure to review the individual property map and rules before you go. Each BMA is different, and property maps identify when an area is open, what may be hunted and where hunting is allowed.
