The May 2026 market numbers are in for Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC. 🏡

Augusta saw 907 new listings, 786 closed sales, and an average selling price of $360,362. Across the river, Aiken reported 438 new listings, 279 closed sales, and an average selling price of $362,383.

Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or just keeping an eye on the local market, these numbers show there is still plenty of activity across the CSRA.

Myth: I need 20% down to buy a home.

Think you need 20% down to become a homeowner? That is one of the biggest myths in real estate.

Many loan programs allow qualified buyers to purchase with as little as 3% to 5% down, and some may even offer 0% down options. There are also grants and down payment assistance programs that may help reduce upfront costs.

Waiting until you save 20% could mean missing out on years of potential equity growth.
