🚨 McDuffie County Emergency Management Team Update

· Local officials are working to set up locations for residents to dump spoiled food in large trash containers. More information about the reopening of the local transfer station landfill/should be available today, Wednesday, 10.2, stay tuned to our page for additional details.

· We are still waiting on a specific delivery time from GEMA for water, MREs, tarps and ice on today. When we get confirmation, we will announce distribution locations. Keep watching this page and listening to WTHO for more information.

· Power outage update. Per poweroutage.us (http://poweroutage.us/): McDuffie County is at 83.63% of residents are without power as of 7 am Wednesday morning.

📢 A few quick reminders:

• The McDuffie County Complex will remain closed today, Wednesday, October 2nd.

· Golden Harvest is planning a food distribution stop (non-perishable items) in the Big Lots parking lot at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

· At Home Senior Living is providing free hamburgers and hot dogs on Thursday, Oct. 3, to the community from 3-6pm or until all items are gone.

· The shelter at Sweetwater Gym is open, and the 7 p.m.-7 a.m. curfew remains in place.

· If you do not have power, please cut off the main breaker to your home to help prevent a possible fire when power is restored.

Al and I and our home are okay but four of our rental houses are crushed. By God's grace no one was hurt!!
I'm asking for HELP with tree removal and construction.
