🎆 Independence Day Celebration, Meet Us at the River! 🎆
Augusta, Georgia, in partnership with North Augusta, South Carolina, invites residents, families, and visitors from across the CSRA to celebrate America’s 250th birthday along the Savannah River.
📅 Saturday, July 4
⏰ Event: 5 to 10 p.m.
🎇 Fireworks: Approximately 9:30 p.m.
📍 Riverfront between Fifth and Ninth Streets in Augusta, GA
📍 Fireworks viewing also available at Sharon Jones Amphitheater in North Augusta, SC
Enjoy live entertainment, vendors, food, crafts, kid zones, and more. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
🚧 Road & Riverwalk Closures:
Reynolds Street will be closed from 5 to 10 p.m. The upper and lower portions of the Riverwalk will be closed between Eighth and Ninth streets. The upper portion will close at 8 a.m. for fireworks setup, and the lower portion will close beginning at 5 p.m.
Parking will be available in downtown Augusta, including the Depot area near Fifth and Reynolds streets, the Ninth and Reynolds parking deck, and public lots near the event area.
Guests attending activities on the Georgia side should enter from Reynolds Street near Fifth Street. Ninth Street will be used as the stage location and will not serve as an event access point.
Portable restrooms and hand-washing stations will be available on site. The Augusta Common remains under construction and will not be fully accessible during the event.
Following the event, traffic will be directed southbound only until event traffic clears.
The CSRA is encouraged to meet us at the river for an evening of celebration, connection, and community pride!
