Avidor Evanston residents and staff celebrated the life and music of the legendary Dolly Parton with a sing-along🎤 last night. The lyrics scrolled by on the TV in the Club Room, the mic was passed all around, the requests just kept coming and we sang our hearts out, laughed, and even shed a few tears🥲. I am so glad we pulled of this impromptu event.

From colorful annuals and lush succulents to native pollinator plants and thriving vegetables, our 2026 Avidor Evanston Gardens in the Sky Balcony Crawl was full of inspiration! 🌿🌸

Residents opened their beautiful balcony gardens to neighbors, sharing gardening tips, favorite plants, and the stories behind their unique outdoor spaces. Along the way, we admired breathtaking city views, spotted bird-friendly balconies, and celebrated the resident who started this wonderful tradition on her birthday, no less! 🎉🐦

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who opened their Garden in the Sky and to all who joined us for another memorable Balcony Crawl. We can't wait to see what blooms next year! 🌼💚

Looking back on a memorable weekend at Avidor Evanston! ✨

From celebrating Juneteenth and Father's Day to participating in Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate and Opal's Walk for Freedom, our residents enjoyed a weekend full of celebration, connection, and community, both at Avidor and throughout Evanston. Avidorians were putting the "active" in active adult!

🎭 Excitement is building, literally!

We're thrilled to see the progress at Northlight Theatre, our new neighbor just a short walk from Avidor Evanston. It's been fun watching the construction come together, and we know many of our residents have already purchased season tickets and are looking forward to opening night!

Having a professional theater within walking distance is just one of the many things that makes life in Downtown Evanston so special. We can't wait to enjoy unforgettable performances and support this wonderful addition to our neighborhood.

Avidor Evanston was delighted to welcome Rebecca Hall, founder of Hall Global Medical Concierge LLC, to our community for an engaging and informative presentation on medical travel coordination, wellness, and making the most of every stage of life.
Our residents were fully engaged, asking thoughtful questions and sharing in a lively discussion about healthcare options around the world and the importance of proactive wellness.
One message that particularly resonated was Rebecca’s description of retirement as the “Go-Go Years,” the “Slow-Go Years,” and the “No-Go Years.” Her reminder to focus on health and wellness so we can enjoy our Go-Go Years for as long as possible sparked meaningful conversation throughout the room.
Another memorable takeaway was her perspective that while it’s possible to make more money, you can never make more time. It was a powerful reminder to invest in our health, experiences, and quality of life while we have the opportunity.
Thank you, Rebecca, for sharing your expertise and inspiring our residents to think about wellness, longevity, and living life to the fullest. We appreciate your visit and look forward to continuing the conversation!
