(I swear, this is an easy tip!)

Update your cabinet hardware. No, it’s not going to add thousands of dollars to your sale price, but what it will do is give your kitchen a fresh and updated look and feel…and that might prevent the buyer from asking for a credit to update the space.

You can find simple, stylish cabinet hardware at Home Depot or Amazon, without spending an arm and a leg.

If you’re thinking of selling your home this Spring, here are three things that make this time of year desirable for home buyers:

☀️ Warmer weather creates more activity from home buyers. House hunting is simply easier in the spring when the weather is more comfortable. No trudging through piles of snow!

🏡 There are plenty of buyers. Low interest rates and pandemic-fueled lifestyle changes have increased buyer demand, creating a competitive market.

🍂 You can get a head start. Generally speaking, spring is a good time for families to buy a home because they can move in and get settled before school resumes in the fall.

While we’re on the topic, what’s your favorite season? Are you team winter or spring?

🌼Part 2 of Your Spring Cleaning Checklist is here! Let’s head outdoors!

Outdoor spring cleaning:

💧 Clean and unclog your gutters and downspouts.

🌳 Spruce up your lawn and landscaping for spring.

🧊 Give your AC unit some TLC: remove debris from around the unit, replace filters and clean ducts and vents.

🧽 Power wash deck and patio; clean outdoor furniture for spring.

🧼 Wash exterior windows with store-bought or homemade cleaner (one cup rubbing alcohol, one cup water and a tablespoon of white wine vinegar).

🌟 Bonus tips for home sellers! 🌟

🪟 Remove window screens to let in natural light and improve photography. Before you replace them, repair or replace any damage from winter weather.

🖼 Depersonalize: remove any personal or religious objects, kids’ art projects and family photos.

🛋 Consult with your realtor to decide if you need professional staging in your home.

It’s officially Spring! And to kick it off let’s talk about Spring Trends!

1. Luxe Living
The luxe look isn’t about glam, shiny, mirrored, or glitzy spaces. Rather, you’ll see rooms filled with warmth, calm and collected accents, plush cushioned seating, soft rugs, layered lighting, and pillows and throws in luxurious materials.

2. The Return of Color
Tying in with the other home trends in this post, a luxurious palette of rich jewel tones, soothing greens, timeless blues, and warm earth tones will dominate in 2023.

3. Natural Stone Finishes
Natural stone finishes are having a big moment — particularly materials that incorporate unexpected tones and patterns. Think travertine, marble, exotic slabs of granite, soapstone, limestone, and other natural materials.
