They’re comparing feelings.

Buyers remember the backyard where they could picture grilling on a Saturday. They’re envisioning themselves in the breakfast nook on a slow Sunday morning with coffee. It might even be the screened-in porch that made them feel they weren’t quite ready to leave…

But they also might remember the strange smell in the basement, the house that felt dark at noon, or the kitchen where 4 teenagers couldn’t stand comfortably at the same time.
