Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached the enslaved people of Galveston, Texas—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. As an organization, we stand in solidarity with the ongoing journey toward equality and encourage everyone to take this time to reflect, celebrate, and connect with loved ones. In observance of Juneteenth, our office will be closed on June 19.
