Every year, Windermere agents, staff, managers, and owners from more than 300 offices across the Western U.S. spend the day giving back to the communities we call home through local volunteer projects and service work.

This year, the Windermere M2 Alderwood and South Everett teams will be helping with maintenance and cleanup projects at Lynndale Park in Lynnwood. We’re proud to support a space that so many local families and neighbors enjoy year-round.

Community Service Day has been a Windermere tradition since 1984, and it continues to be one of the ways we stay connected to the communities we serve, not just as real estate professionals, but as neighbors too.

🏡 April 2026 Market Update 📊

April brought a major jump in new listings across both King and Snohomish counties, giving buyers far more options heading into late spring.

At the same time, competition hasn’t disappeared - nearly 1 in 3 homes still sold over asking in both counties. Median prices stayed relatively steady year over year, while inventory continued to build, signaling a market that’s becoming more balanced than we’ve seen in recent years.

Online searches for down payment information recently hit an all-time high. That shows a lot of buyers aren’t sure what’s actually required, and they’re looking for answers.

Unfortunately, many still think they have to put 20% down.

But the data says something very different is happening.

The typical first-time buyer actually puts down about 10% – that’s half of what you probably expected. And some do as little as 3.5% or even 0% down (depending on their loan type).

So, that 20% myth is only holding you back and delaying your timeline more than necessary.
