Rodeo weekend, Evergreen farmers markets, summer concerts, art festivals, Red Rocks nights, lake time, and plenty of reasons to get outside.

I’m especially looking forward to the EPRD Summer Concert Series. I’m proud to be one of the sponsors, and this week’s concert is at Buchanan Park. The series rotates every other Wednesday between Buchanan Park and Evergreen Lake House, so it’s a fun one to keep on your calendar all summer.

One of the things I love most about living here is that the lifestyle is not separate from the community. You can start the day on a trail, meet friends by the lake, enjoy music outside, and still feel connected to the places and people that make this area so special.

Timing matters more than most people realize when it comes to homeownership.

According to the 2026 Generational Wealth & Housing Report by Realtor.com®, buying a home by age 30 can result in an estimated 22.5% higher net worth by age 50 compared to those who wait.

That advantage decreases over time, but the long-term pattern is consistent.

Homeowners, regardless of age, continue to hold significantly greater wealth than renters. Federal Reserve data shows the average net worth of homeowners has been nearly 38 times higher than renters over time.

Beyond the numbers, homeownership also plays a role in generational wealth, with children from homeowner households more likely to become homeowners themselves.

Real estate continues to be one of the most consistent long-term wealth-building tools available.
