Less than 20% of small businesses make it past 20 years. Which is why it’s a big deal that this downtown Evergreen business is still thriving.
Tracy, the owner of Aspen’s Consignment, started the store with her mom, Julie, 20 years ago. And up until 2019, when she retired, Julie was there every single day. What these two Evergreen women have built together over the last two decades is truly something special. ❤️
Long before reusing and recycling was cool, Tracy and Julie were doing it at Aspen’s. When I stopped by the other day to chat with Tracy, she gave me the inside scoop on how it all began. They wanted to give women the opportunity to find higher-end, brand-name pieces at a fraction of the cost, effectively helping women feel good about what they were wearing without breaking the bank.
As a longtime customer of their store, I’ve scored some pretty amazing deals (a few basically brand-new cowgirl boots and several statement pieces to go with them).
And if you’ve ever avoided shopping in downtown Evergreen because you assume parking is a nightmare… let me save you the trouble. 😉 Parking at Aspen’s is actually a breeze!
There’s a lot right above Aspen’s on Plettner Lane. Do not scan the QR code in the parking lot. Instead, head straight into Aspen’s, scan the QR code at the checkout counter, and Tracy will take care of your parking for you as you shop. It’s incredibly generous of her and just another testament to how genuine she is.
We’re really lucky to have a devoted business owner like Tracy who has poured two decades of her life into creating something special for this community.
