With Tropical Storm Lala approaching the Hawaiian Islands, now is the time to finish preparations—not when the weather starts to deteriorate. Oʻahu is currently under a Tropical Storm Watch, with strong winds, heavy rainfall, flooding and dangerous ocean conditions possible this weekend.

🔋 Charge phones, portable chargers and backup batteries
🔦 Have flashlights and extra batteries ready
💧 Stock drinking water and non-perishable food
💊 Refill necessary medications and keep them accessible
⛽ Fill your vehicle's gas tank
💵 Keep some cash available in case card systems are down
📄 Place insurance policies and important documents in waterproof bags/containers
🏡 Secure outdoor furniture, umbrellas, trash cans and other loose items

📈 According to HBR's latest Local Market Update, 🏙 condo/townhome sales in Pearl City-ʻAiea rose 26% 🔺 year over year with 29 closed sales. The area’s median condo price dropped 20% 🔻 to $393,000, largely due to a higher share of 1-bedroom units sold this June. Pearl City-ʻAiea condos were on the market for a median of 29 days, 50% quicker compared to a year ago, and the month ended with 100 active condo listings. Year to date, sales in this area are up 5% 🔺, and the YTD median sales price is down 11% 🔻.

🏡 There were 20 closed sales of single-family homes in Hawai’i Kai, up 25% 🔺 from last June, and the area’s median price fell 8% 🔻. Homes were on the market for a median of 11 days, two days faster than the same time last year. The month ended with 35 active Hawai’i Kai single-family home listings. Year-to-date sales were nearly unchanged (-1%), while the area’s YTD median sales price decreased by 4% 🔻.
