Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) Authorized
Effective immediately, Active-Duty Army personnel and their command-sponsored dependents residing in verified, affected areas of IPC are authorized to secure lodging and meals at government expense until utilities are fully restored at their residence.
The temporary lodging authorization applies only to residents living in the following neighborhoods:

Canby Community: Jeal Road and Baldwin Road
To ensure your expenses are successfully reimbursed, please keep the following critical details in mind:
Eligible Window: TLA assistance is not authorized for any dates prior to today's effective date. Once utilities are restored, you must check out of temporary lodging at the soonest available check-out time. This authorization will not exceed 24 hours post-restoration.
Approved Lodging: You must secure lodging at properties properly registered by the State of Hawaii to operate as Hotel / Transient Accommodations.
Receipts Required: You must provide an itemized lodging receipt or invoice to verify lodging expenses for reimbursement.
Partial Coverage: TLA is intended to partially offset higher-than-normal expenses incurred while occupying temporary lodging. Not all expenses may be reimbursed.
How to Apply: Before you apply for reimbursement, you must obtain an individual TLA Authorization Memo. Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Contact the Housing Services Office (HSO) Phone: (808) 787-7700 ✉️ Email: [email protected]
Step 2: Request your individual TLA Authorization Memo. Provide your name, address, and verification of residency in an affected area.
Step 3: Submit your claims & receipts to the Finance Office at the Soldier Support Center Room 103. Keep all itemized lodging and meal invoices for your final submittal.
