Meet Doug Strickland, The Residential Guru: Your Real Estate Expert
A West Chester University graduate and small businessman, I specialize in the sale of new and existing homes throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Main Line including Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. In addition, I am also the owner of Residential Guru Inc, a construction company focused in the areas of interio
r and exterior painting, flooring installation, and carpentry. Prior to real estate I taught middle and upper school music at The Episcopal Academy as well as privately in my own studio. Why I’m Different
Owning two closely related businesses focused on residential real estate affords my clients an opportunity to leverage my experience so they can make better decisions when buying and selling. I am known for outstanding client service, 24/7 availability, high tech marketing techniques, personal touches, and as a skilled negotiator with my client’s best interests at heart. I believe strongly that it is my duty to offer the most advanced real estate strategies while representing their interests fully. Because I also own a contracting company, I am able to offer my real estate clients a competitive edge when preparing their homes for sale, purchasing a home, and negotiating inspection issues. Because of the effective strategies I implement in my business, my sellers net more money and my buyer clients are able to identify and purchase their dream home. How I Give Back
Working so hard developing business relationships would not be important if I also did not work towards making my local community a better place. I volunteer on the board of The Brandywine Singers where we strive to bring the very best in choral music to our community through performing diverse repertoire at a very high level. I believe helping improve the culture and arts in our area is vital to keeping a vibrant and interesting place to live, work, and raise a family. I also am the treasurer for the Nick Berg Initiative, a non profit organization focused on continuing the memory and works of my friend who was killed in Iraq. I am proud that the scholarship we present annually at Henderson High School is one of the top paying scholarships a graduating senior can receive. In My Free Time
I am a well rounded musician and love all types of music. I play the clarinet, sing tenor with The Brandywine Singers, dabble at the piano, and help my oldest son learn to play trumpet by playing alongside him when he practices. I strongly believe the skills learned through being a serious musician have been the most influential factor in my business career. I also love taking trips and spending quality time with my wife and three children.
