Mortgage rates moved back above 7% yesterday, and I know what a lot of homebuyers are thinking...
"Maybe I'll just wait”
And that's exactly why there may be an opportunity for someone else.
When rates move higher, some buyers pause their search or step out of the market altogether. That can mean fewer competing offers, less pressure to overbid, and potentially more negotiating power for buyers who are still comfortable making a move.
Does a higher rate mean a higher payment? Absolutely.
But remember - the interest rate is only one part of the decision.
Getting the right house, at the right price, with less competition can matter too.
You can't go back and buy the house you lost when 10 other buyers were competing for it.
Sometimes opportunity shows up when everyone else is looking the other way.
If you've been shopping for a home and the recent rate increase has you second guessing your plans, let's talk before you automatically hit pause.
There may be more opportunity in this market than you think.
