🚨 BREAKING: A massive meteor traveling 75,000 mph exploded over the Gulf Coast near Texas, releasing energy equivalent to hundreds of tons of TNT. The flash was so intense it was reportedly visible from space and could be seen across large portions of the Lone Star State.
The fireball illuminated the night sky from Houston to Dallas, Austin to San Antonio, with reports of a brilliant streak visible across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico, and even northern Mexico. Moments later, a powerful sonic boom rattled homes, shook windows, and startled residents across the region.
Fortunately, the object disintegrated high in the atmosphere. But if an explosion of this magnitude occurred just 10 miles above a major Texas city, the effects could be far more severe—widespread shattered windows, structural damage, flying debris, and injuries across densely populated areas.
A reminder that sometimes the biggest threats don't come from hurricanes, tornadoes, or droughts.
Sometimes they come from above. ☄️🌎🇨🇱
Don't look up.
