A new $127 MILLION community + health center is officially moving forward with construction in the City of Fairfax.

The Fairfax City Council and Fairfax County Board both unanimously approved plans for the new Willard-Sherwood Community and Health Center, which is a major redevelopment project that will replace the former Joseph Willard Health Center with a brand new 100,000 sq. ft. facility serving both City and County residents.

Planned features include:
✔️ Recreation + fitness spaces
✔️ Preschool + early childhood programs
✔️ Health & human services under one roof
✔️ Underground parking
✔️ A pedestrian bridge connecting to Sherwood Community Center

Construction is expected to take approximately 3 years.
