I was born at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in D.C. on the NW side of North Capitol Street. This condo home that I am selling is less than a mile away from that part of North Capital Street.
With that in mind, it should be easy to understand why his condo home that I am selling in Brookland is very special to me, with the home being so close to the place where I “planted my roots” many years ago.
Over the years, I witnessed a renaissance that was ignited by ambitious community development projects and economic growth initiatives. The sale of this lovely is a continuation of that renaissance in Northeast and I am proud to be a part of it. My parents did not immigrate to this country with much. All they had was ambition and a vision for a better life in the United States. I can’t help but recognize the symbolism between the beauty and glory that defines Brookland and my mom and dad’s personal definition of their American Dream.
To all of you out there who are not from the DC Metro Area: Brooklyn is to NYC as Brookland is to DC.
This 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom condo home comes with a bonus room that is currently being used as an office, premium hardwood floors throughout, as well as a covered deck area with easy access to your own parking space.
Extensive professional renovations were recently completed less than four years ago. The home’s premium stainless steel kitchen appliances, heating and cooling systems, as well as lighting and plumbing fixtures are well within life expectancy and are all running exceptionally well.
This home is located 0.4 miles away from the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Metro Station, with Red Line access to Union Station, Gallery Place Chinatown, Metro Center, Dupont Circle, and Woodley Park-The Smithsonian National Zoo-Adams Morgan just to name a few. If you want to stay close to your new home, less than 0.5 mi away according to Google Maps are the new Alamo Drafthouse, Metrobar DC, Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, Primrose, Menomale, Right Proper Brewing, and City State Brewery.
If you are looking for a more serene and scenic DC experience: Roughly 0.2 miles away just past Noyes Recreation Center, Tastemakers, and the Dew Drop, you will find an access point to the Metropolitan Branch Trail (MBT) which provides direct hiking and biking paths to Union Station, Red Bear Brewing, and REI.
This location is also ideal for those looking to be close to Catholic University / Trinity University /The Basilica of the National Shrine, Children’s National Hospital Center / MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Gallaudet University / Union Market (Trader Joe’s, Stellina Pizzeria, Masala Story, St Anselm, O-Ku Sushi, Toki Underground, Farmbird, Uzu, etc. ), and Howard University. These points of interest are all located less than 2 miles away from this lovely home.
This recently renovated and newly updated home is waiting for you.
