When I crossed the finish line I saidâŚ
âIâll might do another HYROX⌠just not anytime soon.â
Translation: I blew myself up.
I looked at the splits.
Checked the WHOOP data.
Heart rate through the roof from the jump.
Came out way too hot and redlined immediately.
Not shocking. Thatâs my default setting.
Get excited. Go 110%. Figure it out later.
But HYROX doesnât reward hype.
It rewards discipline. Patience. Control.
It exposes you.
If you lack pacing, it shows.
If you panic under fatigue, it shows.
If you donât manage your emotions well, it shows.
Funny thing is, those are the exact things Iâve worked hard on in my business with . Stay steady. Stay strategic. Donât chase every spike of adrenaline.
Two days later? âĄď¸ I want redemption.
HYROX #2 is already in my radar.
Huge shoutout to . She was locked in. Focused. Calm. Strong. Never once made me feel bad when I had to throttle back. Absolute rock.
And congrats to and for crushing their race through injuries and doubt.
If youâre on the fence about doing HYROX, do it.
It doesnât care how fit you think you are.
It will show you exactly where youâre strong⌠and exactly where youâre not.
Thatâs the point.
Just maybe donât sprint the first run like I did. đ
