This article from the NY times is compelling and scary. We look back and wonder how Hitler's Germany could have ever happened. How could the people be so misled, so misinformed, so caught up in racism and xenophobia? We assumed it could never happen again. But the seeds are unmistakably germinating now in the US and several other countries. Democracy has its flaws, but at least it celebrates freedom and equality. The November elections are essential to elect a Congress who speaks for the people and cares more about preserving democracy than catering to special interests. Please read and vote this November to stop this.
