Just sold in Ferriss Estate on Candlewood Lake.

Staging this one meant leaning into what was already there, those clean lines and mid-century details. I spent a lot of tours and open houses just talking architecture with buyers, and it was genuinely fun watching people light up over the design, the community, the spot on the lake.

Congrats to its new owners, they saw the bones, had the vision, and now get to take it into its next chapter!

Remember when summer felt endless?

Built in 1939 in the quintessential Adirondack style, this one still remembers too. Wet feet crossing wood floors on the way in from the dock. An afternoon lost in the book nook. Dinner on the screened porch while the sun goes down over the water. Then collapsing into bed, sun tired and lake happy, with tomorrow stretching out just as long and open as today was.

The cuckoo clock still keeps time. Someone kept every issue of the Candlewood Comment. The stone fireplace has been the heart of this house since before most of us were born. It’s the kind of place that hands you a slower version of summer the second you walk through the door, the version we all say we want more of.

After a strong May, Candlewood Lake's direct waterfront inventory began to taper in June, with just three new listings coming to market. While new opportunities remained limited, buyers remained active, with three direct waterfront sales closing during the month.

June also marked a milestone for Candlewood Lake with the record-setting $6.05M sale in Sail Harbour, the highest sale on the lake to date, reinforcing continued strength at the luxury end of the waterfront market.

Real estate and boat sales keep our schedule anything but predictable, especially come summer. But when you love the water as a family, you find a way to prioritize it, so for us, that means never waiting for the perfect lake day. Even an hour or two out there is worth it, so the boat bag always packed and ready to go.
