Buying a home is a lot easier when you know what to expect before you start touring.
A few things I always encourage buyers to think about:
Get pre-approved before you fall in love with a house.
Know the monthly payment you’re actually comfortable with — not just the maximum you qualify for.
Decide what you truly need versus what would simply be nice to have.
Don’t let paint colors or outdated finishes distract you from the things that are harder to change.
Ask questions. A good agent should help you understand the property and the process before you make a decision.
A little preparation on the front end can make the entire home-buying process much smoother.
Have a real estate question? I’m always happy to help.
