Join the MITO Movement!
-A social campaign to join the chronic disease journey, the Mito Movement is a series of community fundraising events.
-An initiative started in 2023 by Akron Children's Hospital Mitochondrial Center of Excellence.
-The mission is to support patients and their families living with Mitochondrial (Mito) disease and to spread awareness .
-A way for Akron-to-support-Akron, the Movementfocuses on giving energy to patients whose bodies cannot produce enough on their own. What better way to do that than in an environment where energy is in abundance?
-A rare disease, without a cure and extremely limited treatments, supporting these families goes beyond the dollars earned...we are building a community of empathy, energy and endorphins!
