🏡 Sometimes selling a home takes more than a sign in the yard.

A lot of sellers don’t realize just how many little things come up behind the scenes—especially when you’re selling a property from out of town.

Getting trash hauled away. Moving a few things around. Meeting someone at the property. Making sure everything is ready for photos, showings, inspections, and ultimately, closing.

Those things may not technically be in the “job description,” but at Springston Real Estate, we do what we have to do!

Today’s task? Getting the trash situated so this property can officially hit the market. 🗑️➡️🏡 Thanks, Kara!!

There’s something really special about being part of a company with a legacy that runs this deep. 💚💛💙

We are the oldest real estate company in West Virginia, and we take a tremendous amount of pride in carrying on The Skipper Springston Way — his ethics, his work ethic, his dedication, his integrity, and most importantly, his commitment to doing what’s right for our clients.

Although we were never blessed with the opportunity to meet Skipper, his values were passed down to us through the people who came before us. We were fortunate enough to learn from Terry Brake and Bill Yoho, and Terry especially understood how important it was to keep Skipper’s legacy alive. Although Bill is no longer with us, the lessons they both taught us continue to shape the way we do business every single day.

And honestly, one of the most humbling parts for us, as owners is watching that legacy continue through our agents.

Shout-out to Roberto, who has been with us for almost a year now. It didn’t take him long to understand what Springston is all about. He’s embraced the mentality that we don’t make excuses, we don’t give up, and we do whatever it takes to get the job done for our clients.

And the pictures below are a pretty perfect example. 😂

8:00 on a Thursday night, and there’s Roberto crawling around in a crawl space trying to verify whether a property is stick-built or a double-wide.

Because sometimes, doing the job right means getting a little dirty, staying a little late, and figuring it out when everyone else has already gone home.

All closings are near and dear to our hearts, but this one especially touched my soul. ❤️

It meant more to me than Jeffrey probably realizes that a student I had in my 5th and 6th grade Phys. Ed class would reach out to me years later to help him find a house to call home. Watching him grow from that young kid into the person he is today has been such a blessing.

Jeffrey is one of our youngest clients, and seeing him accomplish something like this at such a young age is a reminder of what can happen when you work hard, set goals, stay focused, and make good choices along the way.

You’ve always been such a great kid with an even better heart, Jeffrey. Keep working hard and chasing those goals!
