Well I'm still pinching myself about the experience I had at the prestigious Boardroom mastermind in Dallas this week. Somehow I got recognized for not one award but two and it still has me feeling like I have Imposter Syndrome.
Ever had that feeling when you don't know how you got where you're at and somehow you're pinching yourself, trying to figure out how you got into the right room, or surrounded yourself with the right people, or had results that you could not believe? Well that's exactly how this all came together and I'm still in awe.
Thank you to my lovely wife Courtney Law for supporting me and inspiring me to be better every single day, and digging in and getting in the trenches w/ me.
Another shout-out to Brandon Brittingham, who has become more than just my real estate coach, for showing me the way through example and asking me hard questions. I remember when I first met you, B, when you came to eXp Con almost two years ago. After 4 days of a conference you had the very last session. I thought for sure nobody would be there but 600 of us showed up, you crushed it with your ugly ass shirt and chains. It was hard for me to look past them, but you said something that hit me hard. You said, "You might be the most successful agent in your own market but that doesn't mean s**t if you don't have any passive monthly income. If you're not hitting your own supply and buying real estate deals, then you're just spinning your wheels and running on the hamster wheel and will never get off."
That shook me to the core and I was the first person to sign up for your Expand Investing coaching. Since then you've taught me things I never thought that I would learn. I thought I knew real estate investing until I met you and your stacked rolodexes of badasses. When I told you my goal for the next couple of years was to be successful enough to gain membership into the Boardroom Mastermind with less than a 4% acceptance rate, and you told me that I was ready now, I didn't believe you. But after diving in for the last three masterminds, I feel like I've come a long way and sincerely appreciate you for seeing something in me that I didn't know was there. Thank you!
